Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cups (180 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) baking soda
  • 1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 ounces (60 g) chocolate chips (or dark chocolate chips), melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F (180° C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, applesauce, yogurt, melted chocolate, eggs, and vegetable oil.
  4. Using a spatula, gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter into mini-muffin cups or mini-financier molds, and bake for 7 to 8 minutes.

Notes

Hubert's Tips: You can also bake these brownies in an 8-inch (20 cm) square dish, but make sure to increase the cooking time to 30-35 minutes.
