A smoothie loaded with fresh berries starts your day in the right direction. Easy and quick to make, silky and smooth with lots of flavor to taste.
Often enough we come to that part of the year when we start thinking, I have some extra pounds, I need to loose some body fat, and OMG my bathing suit! Winter always seems to put us in comfort mode, especially those of us living in the cold north. Soul food hits the table, body is craving substantial foods to keep the internal heat going. Unfortunately moderation falls to the waste side and that spare tire develops into a double axle. Well we have the solution for this I am not ready for the beach blues.
This morning we have prepared a deliciously balanced and healthy morning kick start breakfast: Berry Berry Smoothie.
This smoothie recipe is so easy and quick to make
All you need are some basic ingredients, a blender and a finger to push the button on the blender, and some mind calisthenics to remember to put the lid on or instead of drinking your smoothie, you will be wearing it! lol. With lots of berries available at the organic markets smoothie recipes have hit an all time high. Today we have chosen to use strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. Add in a bit of juice for us we used a mango blend, and some organic almond milk, and for that little bit of indulgence a scoop of coconut gelato, offering its creamy and delectable taste to the mix. For some fiber a spoonful of flax seed bought at the health food section, and we are set for that magic moment. My finger goes out to hit that blend button, but my intuitive voice says, you want to have a shower? Oh ya the lid. Gotta love that inner voice.
Nicoletta and I settle at the breakfast table to sit and really enjoy the flavors of this smoothie. The star of the show the berries strawberry, raspberry, blackberry. The smoothie trinity kept rich in the fruit juice, milk and coconut gelato. Velvety smooth with a little crunch of the flaxseed, most welcoming in the desire to be healthy. Smoothies gone, we are left with the feeling of self love and caring, our souls and physicality both smiling and respected. A great way to start our day and yours with this Berry more Berry Smoothie!
Here's to good health and wellness.
Cheers!

Oh, bikini season... Lol. Fortunately, there's not too much opportunity to go beaching around these parts. π However, there is plenty of time for perfect healthy smoothie like this one. I love the double berry element and the fact that the color of this smoothie is just perfectly pink. π Have a wonderful weekend, you two! π
Hi Demeter so sad to hear not much beaching to go on there. Maybe you need to create your own beach. Thank you so much for your comment, and this smoothie was delicious. I love smoothies not only because they are healthy but because they are so dam good and versatile. You two have a great week.
